Trader Joe’s Oatmeal Soap

Trader Joe's Oatmeal Soap

Trader Joe's Oatmeal Soap

Here is a new product that caught our eye the last time we were at Trader Joe’s:  Trader Joe’s Oatmeal Exfoliant Ginger Almond Soap.

Can you really have too many bars of soap in the bathroom?

Well, the answer could be, yes. In fact we are approaching a dangerous situation in our tub, as we bought yet another new product. It’s not that the products we have are bad; it is more that we LOVE to buy/try new stuff.

So when we saw the oatmeal soap I knew we would have to make room for one more product.

This soap is a nice big bar that produces lots of thick white lather. It also has nubby bits of oatmeal studded in the bar, so there is almost a “scrubby” thing going on when you use the soap. And the smell…. the combination of oatmeal, ginger and almost… yum! But the best part is that the scent is pleasant and NOT strong or overwhelming in the least.

Also, we like that this bar is firm. We do not like those soap bars that feel soft and almost dent or break apart after only a couple of uses. Or those fancy soaps that seem to “melt” away after the first week.

Because of the oatmeal (or despite the oatmeal who really knows) this soap is gentle on our skin and is not drying it out like some soap can.

Have you tried this product? What did you think?

I LOVE LOVE this soap. I can’t stress enough on how much this is a great product. I have used so many soaps, body washes, gels, and none worked for me. Always dried my skin or made me break out even worse. I tried this and will be hooked forever, at least until they stop making it. 🙂
My skin is healing really nicely. Thank you for putting this up.
    Love it

    Hi!
I live in Denmark and have been trying to find a way to buy Trader Joe’s soap (particularly the honey and oatmeal one) for ages. Do you by any chance know where I could buy some online? I’ve already tried amazon and ebay but with no luck 🙁

Hi Claudia ~ We will check and see if our Trader Joe’s in Kansas City sells the Honey Oatmeal soap. If they do, do you want to send us your address and we will find out how much the shipping to Denmark will be?? Do you have a PayPal Account?? Thanks! Kristin & Delaina

    Hi Delaina & Chris,

You’re so kind for offering to do this! Thank you so much! It would be great! But first of all, I think it’s better if you tell me how much you think it will cost. I’d like to buy more bars of soap (so I won’t have to do it every week of so). The only problem is that my budget isn’t that great for now so I’d first like to know how much it would cost.. For instance if buying&sending 10 bars of soap costs over 35-40$ it might be too much. If it’s not too much trouble, could you tell me how much you think it will be?

I have a PayPal account so I could easily send you the money for the soap.

    Thanks so much again! 🙂

      Hello Claudia;

We have done some research — there is a small box that can go anywhere for $14 and it will hold four bars of soap (each listed at $2.99). So we can send you four bars of soap for a total of $25.96.

The post office said it would take 10-15 days.

If and when you are interested.

Thank you for reading our blog,

Just came across your website – love it! I have been using this soap for a year now, and will not use anything else. I never even use lotion anymore, my skin is never dried out after using this.

  1. […] Trader Joe’s ginger almond oatmeal soap, on the other hand, does not give me ANY post-shower smelliness regardless of whether or not I use deodorant afterward. In fact, I’ve gone whole days in the very recent past without using deodorant and it wasn’t until much later in the day that my pits started to make themselves known. This is the cheapest handmade soap I’ve tried that leaves me with a great smell for a long time – though it is more quickly used – and I do not plan on using any other soap on my body because of that beautiful, beautiful fact. I highly recommend it. […]
